Description: The South African Animal Sanctuary Alliance is the current award winner of the Responsible Tourism Award, as well as the Gold Award Winner for the Best Animal Welfare Initiative at the WRT, the Award Winner for the Skal International Sustainable Tourism Award as well as the Award winner of the Lilizela Tourism Award for Best Visitors Experience. Our Three Sanctuaries are:

Monkeyland = World First and largest free roaming primate sanctuary hosting 11 Species and over 550 primates

birds

Birds of Eden = World largest single dome free flight aviary hosting over 200 species and nearly 3500 birds

jukane

Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary = The first sanctuary of its kind with enclosures build specially for the animal’s needs and personality, hosting Apex Cats and other Predator and wildlife Animals.

Meeting Point: Monkeyland or Birds of Eden or Jukani

Start Time: Monkeyland and Birds of Eden open at 8am, Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary opens at 9am

Duration: Monkeyland and Jukani are guided tours lasting an hour each. At Birds of Eden you can go on a 1 hour guided tour or guests can enjoy a stroll at their own pace

Languages: English, Afrikaans are spoken at all three Sanctuaries. German and French are also spoken at Monkeyland.

Other: All Weather Facilities – we are open every day of the year, rain or shine, if it rains you will get wet but we will be open.
